Elderly man struck by Mercedes in Vaughan sent to hospital: police

An elderly man was taken to hospital after being hit by a Mercedes in Vaughan during the Nov. 6 evening rush hour, York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden said. The man was walking in the area of Rutherford Road and Julliard Drive, west of Jane Street, when he was struck at about 6:40 p.m. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The news from York Region about the elderly man that was struck by the Mercedes in Vaughan was sent to the hospital is a sad thing to note. The old man was hit by the car during the evening rush hour. He was walking at the Rutherford Road and Julliard Drive, west of Jane Street. I am just glad that he got an injury that is not life-threatening. This news is a reminder for all the drivers to stop at the pedestrian lane.
